We know what an enormous decision it can be to entrust your child to someone else’s care. Whilst we can never replace you as parents, we will work closely with you to ensure that we perform a similar role and meet your child’s needs, be that TLC after a difficult day, a pat on the back for his or her achievements, encouragement to persevere or a few carefully chosen words on the occasions when they are required.
Our boarding team works closely together across both the boarding houses to create a ‘home from home’ environment and ensure consistency of care.
Alison Kirkham, our Senior Houseparent, runs the boarding house and is the main liaison point for boarders’ parents. She is ably supported by her team of assistant houseparents and three gap assistant tutors, all of whom reside in the boarding areas so that there is always someone on hand for your child, day or night.
Our school nurse, Sister Greig, is available during the school day; the school Doctor, Dr Grantham, is based at Wymondham Medical Centre just a short distance away and pupils are accompanied on visits to the surgery.
