There are four boarding options available, so whether you need a full time boarding place because you are being posted overseas or just the odd night here and there for a work trip or social commitment, you will be able to find an option to suit:
Full boarders stay at school seven nights a week. Regular weekend activities and trips are organised throughout the term and are included in full-time boarding fees. Every half-term (approximately 5-6 weeks) there is an exeat weekend when pupils may leave school to stay with friends, family or a guardian family. There is also the option for pupils to remain in school with a skeleton staff at an additional cost, by special arrangement only.
This give you the best of both worlds giving the benefits of boarding five nights a week, Sunday to Thursday, whilst spending time with family at the weekends. It is the perfect compromise for pupils who live some distance from school, who want to avoid a daily commute and enjoy extra-curricular activities with their friends.
Occasional or Flexi-Boarding
Modern life is hectic for everyone. Sometimes it is impossible to juggle everything when work (or social) events encroach on your evening. One of the biggest advantages of being a boarding school is that we have the facilities available to make life easier for busy families.
For an extremely reasonable price (see below), your child can join us overnight on an ad-hoc or regular basis, enabling her to finish his or her homework in supervised prep, enjoy a healthy supper and spend some time with her friends before getting a good night’s sleep and having breakfast in the morning. We try to be as accommodating as possible and places can be booked at the last minute.
For information about additional teaching costs, please contact us or see our fees information sheet here.
We can also offer short-stay boarding options, which are particularly popular with international students on our English Experience Programme enabling you to experience life in an English school, improve language skills and take ESOL qualifications. Short-stay boarding is normally for a term, but we can accommodate pupils for periods as short as half a term (six weeks).
