Welcome to boarding at Hethersett, a home from home to pupils aged 9-18 for some or all of the week during term time. Parents choose boarding for a variety of reasons: some loved boarding themselves and want their child to have the same opportunities for friendships and activities; others find that boarding offers stability when family circumstances otherwise preclude it, and for others boarding facilitates a busy working life or helps out when business travel makes life difficult. Whatever the reason you are considering boarding with us, you will find a boarding option to suit your needs.

The modern boarding experience is a far cry from that of days gone by! Bedrooms are bright and comfortable, relationships with staff are warm and friendly and communication with home is so much easier with mobile phones, the internet, skype and email. The main boarding house is on the upper floors of the main building. Your child will start by sharing a bedroom with three or four others and will be cared for by the resident houseparents. As pupils gets older, they will be able to move into a double or single bedroom. Bathrooms are plentiful (many en-suite) and there are comfortable common rooms with sofas and flat screen televisions for relaxing and chatting. Our other boarding house comprises separate, modern, student-style accommodation with their own single or double study bedroom, as well as a large common room and kitchen area.
