After-School Clubs (Nursery – Year 2)

Pupils in Nursery – Year 2 have the option of attending our after school clubs every day during term time, from 3.00pm – 6.00pm (you can also pick your child up at 5.00pm).

Once your child finishes lessons at 3.00pm they will be given a snack and drink in the Prep school hall and can then join in with the wide range of exciting activities run by our teachers, after-school co-ordinator and assistants. All parents receive a copy of our termly activities list, which is also available on request from the school office.

There is no charge for after-school care up to 4.00pm each day (except for optional after-school clubs run by peripatetic teachers, such as tennis club – please ask for further details).

From 4.00pm a charge is made, and may include cooked supper if required – please ask for details. Part hours are charged in full, termly and in arrears.

Please ask for details.

All parents receive a copy of our termly activities list, which is also available on request from the school office.

At 5.00pm – 5.45pm all pupils gather for supervised homework before being collected by 6.00pm.

Our after-school clubs run every day during term time, including exeat weekends and on the last day of each half-term. They do not run on the last day of term.

Day Boarding (Years 7 – 11)

Teaching finishes at 3.45pm for our senior girls. However we offer all girls the option to stay for day boarding until 6.00pm. There is no charge for this.

All pupils staying for day boarding register for it at 3.45pm and are given a snack and a drink. They can then attend extra-curricular clubs and activities in school or take part in sporting fixtures. Pupils and parents receive timetables of extra-curricular activities and sport fixtures each term.  Please note that there is a charge for attending some of our optional extra-curricular clubs -those run by peripatetic staff (for example, tennis). Please ask for further details.

Senior girls also have the option of socialising in the day-boarding common room, practising in the music rooms or using the ICT suite or fitness suite (under supervision) until 5.00pm.

At 5.00pm, all pupils gather for supervised homework (prep). We expect them to work quietly without distracting each other. Prep ends at 6.00pm when all pupils must be collected.

Day boarding is available every day during term time, including exeat weekends and on the last day of each half-term. It does not run on the last day of term.
