Authentic English Programme
Do you want to experience an English school just like a native? Would you like to study English the English way? Do you want to study maths, geography, history, art and music in English?
Then the Authentic English Experience Programme could be for you. This exciting course allows overseas students to become part of a real class and to study a regular curriculum alongside native speakers. Perfect for younger learners this course enables pupils to continue with their general education, while still developing their language skills and gaining a unique insight into British culture. Support from a dedicated ESOL teacher and variable study durations (minimum one term) ensures that this programme is tailored to individual requirements.

English Foundation Programme
Would you like to continue onto further education in the English language? Hethersett Old Hall School’s English Foundation Programme is designed specifically to enable students for whom English is not a first language to attend an English speaking University, by achieving a suitable standard of English to allow, subsequently, other A Level subjects to be studied in English.
In addition to English lessons, students will follow a programme of cultural outings and creative activities to include art, music, drama, sport, IT and photography.
The programme aims to enable students to:
- achieve their full potential and highest level of achievement
- have appositive attitude towards learning English and to enjoy the benefits of English language and its associated culture and traditions
- Be able to study their chosen subject for further education in the English language
- Become confident speakers and writers of English

Sixth Form English Programme
How would you like to learn English and get internationally recognised qualifications at the same time? Hethersett Old Hall School’s Sixth Form English Programme allows students to develop their English skills, while studying other subjects of their choice, leading to A and AS level qualifications.
YEAR 1
- English consolidation
- 3 hours EFL per week (group)
YEAR 2
- AS Level
- 2 hours EFL per week (individual)
YEAR 3
- A Level
- 2 hours EFL per week (individual)
