We have two staff members on site who are happy to provide advice and information on any health related matter to pupils and parents. Mrs Midgley works Monday and Tuesdays and our nurse, Sister Grieg, works on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; both are very adept at simultaneously providing medical expertise and support counselling to pupils of all ages. Whether it is a sore knee or a serious illness in the family, they are there to help and lend a sympathetic ear.
Our medical team also contribute to the PSHCCE programme, providing sessions on physical development, health and hygiene and relationship issues. Parents are invited to contact either member of staff with any queries or concerns in these areas – they will be only too happy to chat to you. Please call 01603 810281, 07855 185416 or email email@example.com
If your child is ill while at school, they will be sent to the sick bay and the member of staff on duty will decide on the best treatment and contact you directly if necessary. They will be aware of your child’s medical history as we ask you to complete a medical form for each pupil on joining the school. These forms are confidential and held by the medical team; it is important that you notify the medical team and school of any changes to your child’s medical history and your own contact details so that we can contact you in an emergency or if your child is unwell.
If your child is unwell with vomiting or diarrhea we ask that you keep them at home for 48 hours after the last incident.
For more information please contact Sister Grieg or Mrs Midgley in the Sick Bay on 01603 810281 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
