Obviously not just limited to girls these days, in 2013 Hethersett Old Hall School celebrated its 75th birthday on the present site.
On Sunday 16th June 2013, we held a celebratory tea party for over two hundred past pupils, old staff and current parents, pupils and staff in the grounds of the school. Two of our old girls, Anne Wootten and Stephanie Lyles, both in their eighties, did us the honour of cutting the celebratory cake and the local press attended to take photos of the auspicious occasion. You can read all about it on the Eastern Daily Press website.
We encourage all our old pupils – boys and girls – to keep in contact with the school and we have an active Facebook page which is updated with all the latest news and events at Hethersett Old Hall School. Please do visit and ‘Like’ us at www.facebook.com/hethersettoldhallschool. We are also active on Twitter and you can follow us at Twitter @hohs_tweets.
Our school blog, www.hohs_blog.com, provides daily updates on what is happening in school and also has an Old Girls section. If any of our past pupils would like to let us know what they are up to now, or if you are trying to trace an old school friend, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hold and attend many social events throughout the year and we are always delighted to welcome and see old pupils. Every year we hold our annual Summer Ball on the last day of the summer term and our May Fete will be held on Saturday May 10th 2014.
25.11.13 We were deeply saddened to hear of the death of one of our former pupils, Alexandra Joan Symington (nee Harrison) after a long and courageous battle with cancer. One of Alex’s past teachers, Mrs Jane Grove, attended the funeral on behalf of the school.
