jess mills dressage1 1Jess, a pupil in Year 11 at Hethersett Old Hall School, scooped top prize in a national dressage competition last weekend.
Her passion, practice and discipline in training paid off as Jess (pictured here on 14-year old Montague Spot, also known as ‘Monty’) and her team of four riders – the ‘Norfolk Divas’ – achieved top place in the Under 16s section of the first-ever Bitish DressageTeam Quest challenge. The competition, at the British Dressage training ground in Northamptonshire on 1st and 2nd November, saw the Norfolk Divas beat off competition from fifteen other teams from around the UK, achieving a fantastic combined score of 420.25.
Jess’s team qualified for the national final by consistently performing well at local and regional level competitions throughout the year, taking top place in six competitions since May. Read more about the Team Quest challenge results on the British Dressage website at britishdressage.co.uk
