The school will be entering the Royal Norfolk Show 2013 art competition this year, and Ms Coughlan would like to encourage pupils to submit their works.

The theme for the competition is “Norfolk Farming in Style.”

The competition is intended to give children the opportunity to study the work of a professional artist, and then produce a piece of art on any aspect of British produced food, farming or the countryside in the style of their chosen artist. Alternatively, children may use their own style without reference to the existing work of any professional artist.

Entries should be no larger than A3 size. Pictures may be in any medium, i.e. watercolour, oils, pastels, poster paints, powder colours, acrylics, crayons, pen and ink or pencil. The winning entries will be on display in the Schools Marquee at the Royal Norfolk Show on 26th and 27th June 2013. Prize giving will take place in the marquee on Thursday 27th June.

Please forward your entries to Ms Coughlan by the deadline of the end of March.
