Visit to John Innes Centre

Jess Warner and I joined other A Level biology students at the John Innes Centre recently to learn more about their microscopes. The bioimaging unit gave a talk and demonstrations on a range of different microscopes, including fluorescence and electron microscopes. School hours at the end of terms

On Fridays at the end of each half-term and at exeat weekends, the school is open until 6.00pm. On the Fridays at the end of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms, the school closes at 4.00pm and no school activities will run.

Moon Watching……

One of the slightly unusual requests to the PA last year was for funding for a telescope. Mr Lutkins, head of science, is an avid stargazer and hopes to interest many of our pupils in the wonders of astronomy. Sixth formers develop their study skills
