Exams were under examination last Wednesday night when Mr Crump gave a talk about the current situation in the world of assessment and qualifications. Beginning with the recent history of GCSEs and A Levels, he looked at the current alternatives such as the IB, IGCSEs and the Cambridge Pre-U certificates. He also touched on the government’s plans for the future – as far as we know them!

Following the talk, the PA held their AGM. Mrs Clemitshaw stood down after three very busy and productive years and was presented with a token of the committee’s appreciation by Mrs Greenfield, who was elected new chair. Mrs Kassulke continues as secretary and Mrs Eastwood as treasurer.
