Four of our five newly qualified Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award holders went to a glittering presentation at Sandringhamon Wednesday evening. Charlotte Bacon, Madison Gianfrancesco, Katie Nunney and Kate Ross were presented with their brooches by Lisa Christensen, Director of Children’s Services.
In her speech she congratulated the award holders and said that the skills that they had gained through the award were what she always looked for in prospective employees. There were 58 candidates from around Norfolk receiving their reward and I was very proud to see that HOHS was one of the largest cohorts. These students are looking forward to receiving their certificates from the Duke of Edinburgh next year at the Palace.
I look forward to seeing the twelve girls from this year’s Year 13 gaining their qualification next year.
